Production Coordinator NITV

This role is classified as Level 2 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $68,239 - $89,139). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

About NITV 

NITV has a distinct identity and unique purpose as part of the SBS network and is primarily produced by, for and about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; in turn promoting an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures to all Australians.   

NITV first launched as the National Indigenous broadcaster in 2007 and in 2012, became a part of the SBS network – becoming available to all Australians on free-to-air television.  Not only did this improve accessibility for Indigenous people, it made NITV available to all Australians - showcasing the oldest continuous culture on Earth, and in particular facilitating connections with the newest Australians. 

NITV’s purpose is to shape the Australian identity, amplify First Nations stories and place, and connect with those that call Australia home. In doing so, NITV seeks to grow its audiences and channels, sharing authentic, meaningful stories that continue to heal and celebrate, cleanse, grow and inspire Australia’s identity and purpose.

The Role: 

Reporting to Production Manager and working closely with Producers this role will: 

  • Provide assistant and administration support to the production team. 

  • Roster crew, processing invoices, and booking domestic and international travel. 

  • Maintain production records, transmission reports, and program files. 

  • Obtain licensing agreements and necessary documentation for sourced footage. 

  • Coordinate transcripts, production run-downs, shoot schedules, call sheets, and credit lists. 

  • Talent coordinate, including running schedules and communication, and engaging external contractors. 

About you 

Ideally, you will have: 

  • Be a motivated individual with an eye for detail and a high degree of initiative. 

  • Have an ability to coordinate numerous tasks simultaneously ensures the delivery of high-quality work within set timelines. 

  • Thrive in a deadline-driven broadcast environment, showcasing a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn. 

  • Have experience in media or digital technology, including post-production or media coordination, is essential.
